MioSync V2.x

What has changed in this version off MioSync:

-> This version no longer runs as a SystemTray programm in the background
-> This version supports all available Mio devices including PDA devices
-> This version does not allow the selection off countries anymore, all available information is downloaded to device
-> Personal speedcam count is shown
-> Local speedcam count is shown
-> Available changes on device are shown
-> After synchronisation an overview is given on changes uploaded and downloaded to and from server

Known issues:

When changing from a PDA device to another device or from another device to a PDA device, a restart of the PC might be needed.
to get the device recognised.


How synchronization works:


Adding Speedcams:

When a speedcam a recorded by a user and uploaded to the server it at first becomes a personal speedcam only and therefor only visible to the user who recorded it. Only when there is at least one other user adding the same speedcam in a range off 10 meters it will accepted by Mio. After it has become a Mio Speedcam it will be visible to all users.

Deleting Speedcams:

When a Mio speedcam is deleted it at first is only deleted to the user who deleted it. Only when there is at least one other user deleting the same speedcam the Mio SpeedCam admin is being alerted. He can then decide to accept the deletion and then it will be deleted completely from the database.

Updating Speedcams:

When a Mio speedcam is updated it at first only appears changed to the user who updated it. Only when there is at least one other user updating the same speedcam the Mio SpeedCam admin is being alerted. He can then decide to accept the update and then it will be changed in the database.
